I had been wanting to get a new computer to do simultaneous streaming via OBS Studio, Serato DJ, and Zoom, but I realized I have no idea what any of the specs mean on Costco when I looked for new laptops/computers.
Thank you CanYouRunIt, but wtf does any of that mean? This space is highly technical and full of jargon.
I will try to break how to read these Nvidia and AMD GPU Specifications in an “Explain Like I’m Five” manner so that a normal human being will be able to understand these letters and numbers.
What do the numbers next to each GPU graphics card mean?

How can you tell a Graphic Card is good or not?

I will report back and fill in the blanks when I can explain these in a ELI5 fashion.

· By just looking at the name and specs, how can you tell without using an external 3rd party site which GPUs are budget, mid range, and high end?

Preliminary Conclusion
After all this, I learned that even the highest end Microsoft Surface laptop at Costco (for $1800) only includes a 4GB GeForce RTX 3050Ti. As we just learned, to perform 1080p tasks smoothly, we need an 8GB GeForce RTX 3050. So we are still not there yet. All models <$1500 only include poor performers such as the Intel Iris Xe Graphics. This is as of 6/24/2022.
